Corporate Affairs Commissions to introduces new services to enhance business operations

To enhance the ease of doing business in Nigeria, the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has announced plans to introduce a range of new services for its esteemed clientele.

During a courtesy visit to his office by Mrs. Folashade Ambrose-Medembem, the Lagos State Commissioner for Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade, and Investment, Registrar-General/CEO, Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, SAN, disclosed the upcoming initiatives.

Magaji, who recently completed his first 100 days in office, outlined the forthcoming services, which include premium offerings such as same-day registration, company status updates, and filing of annual returns.

Moreover, the CAC chief emphasized the Commission’s commitment to combatting the proliferation of unregistered businesses, citing relevant provisions of the Companies and Allied Matters Act, CAMA 2020, particularly Section 863, Subsections 1 and 2.

Highlighting the Commission’s ambitious target, Magaji stated that their objective for 2024 is to register 20 million new businesses, thereby contributing significantly to the nation’s economic growth and development.
