The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Mr Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, has raised concerns about the activities of scrap metal vendors, popularly known as “bola,” citing their contribution to street littering and environmental pollution.

During a meeting with the vendors, Mr. Olowa expressed his dissatisfaction with the state of the environment and emphasized the need for accountability within the trade. He announced plans to create a comprehensive database to identify genuine operators and eliminate criminal elements from the industry.
