INEC Holds Capacity-Building Workshop for Voter Education Providers in Akure Ahead of Ondo 2024 Governorship Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has conducted a capacity-building workshop in Akure, Ondo State, aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of voter education providers in preparation for the upcoming Ondo 2024 Governorship Election.

The workshop is part of INEC’s strategic initiative to bolster voter education across the state, ensuring that citizens are well-informed about the electoral process and their civic duties.

The session is focused on empowering participants to engage effectively with the electorate, providing clear, accurate, and accessible information. This effort is expected to increase voter turnout and contribute to a smooth and credible election process. 

Notable attendees include the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for Ondo State, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Babalola, represented by the HOD Voter Education and Publicity (VEP), Mr. Toye Oyeyemi, and the Administrative Secretary for Ondo State, Mr. Biodun Onikate Amosun, represented by Dr. Temitope Akanmu, along with other key staff from INEC Headquarters.
