The Taraba state branch of the Basketball Association of Nigeria, NBA, has emphasized the need for increased collaboration in basketball games.
The state chairman, Danjuma Musa Goyo, made the call during a meeting at the office of the state Director of Sports Council, George Shitta, located at the Jolly Nyame stadium along Mile Six in the Jalingo metropolis.
Goyo highlighted the necessity of a unified approach to address the challenges and opportunities in the basketball industry.

He emphasized the need for business organizations and government officials to contribute to the growth of basketball games in the state and the nation as a whole.
The call for collaboration is aimed at enhancing the development of the game at all levels, from grassroots initiatives to professional leagues.
The leaders believe that by working together, they can create a more sustainable and inclusive sports environment that benefits the people across the state.
The Taraba State Director of Sports Council, George Shitta, expressed optimism that through collaboration, they can drive positive change and ensure the long-term success of the industry.
He called on everyone to join forces with the state government to elevate sports to new heights.

The Japan-based basketballer, Mbonu Lordprince Chinonso, who donated basketballs to the team, expressed gratitude to the team, the sports council, and the state Ministry of Youth and Sports Development for their support during his early career.
He called on his colleagues to give back to the society that contributed to their success.
Also in an interview, the state chairman of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Sulaiman Sani described the gesture as historic and worthy of emulation, considering the origin of the donor.
The chairman also commended the Director of the Sports Council, George Shitta for his passion and commitment toward sports development in Taraba State.
Sulaiman also used the opportunity to urge Governor Agbu Kefas to revitalize the Taraba FC and Taraba Queens with the view to enhance sporting activities in the state.
