Lagos State Government Begins Verification of LASURA Property Records

The Lagos State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, has initiated the process of verifying and completing the records of properties managed by the Lagos State Urban Renewal Agency (LASURA). 

In a recently disclosed statement  by Town planner & Estate Surveyor, Tpl. Esv. Oladimeji Animashaun, the General Manager of LASURA, It emphasized the importance of submitting development lease agreements between LASURA and lessees, developers, or agents for verification.

“We urge all allottees of LASURA properties to submit their documents promptly for the verification and completeness of records,” The Statement read. 

The government further instructed that the required documents should be addressed and delivered to the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Urban Development, Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, located at Block 15, Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja. Copies should also be submitted at the Office of the General Manager, Lagos State Urban Renewal Agency, PWD, Old Secretariat, Off-Oba Akinjobi Way, Ikeja, at the Estate Services Department, First Floor, Room 2.

The deadline for submission is set for Wednesday, 11th September, 2024. The statement also warned that “failure to comply with this notice may warrant the revocation of the lease agreement by the Agency.”
