The Lagos State Government, through its Ministry of Tertiary Education, has announced the commencement of the Eko Digital Training Program in Badagry and Yaba. The initiative, which will run from June 20 to 24, 2025, at the Public Libraries in both locations, aims to equip youth with vital digital, entrepreneurial, and artificial intelligence skills.

Speaking at a press briefing in Lagos on Monday, the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Hon. Tolani Sule, reaffirmed the state’s commitment to fostering excellence in education and skills development.

“This program reflects our dedication to empowering the youth with the tools they need to thrive in a competitive, fast-paced world,” Hon. Sule stated.

The training will offer a diverse range of courses, including emotional intelligence and advanced digital skills, supported by state-of-the-art facilities and experienced instructors. Participants will gain access to a supportive learning environment designed to prepare them for success in various career paths.

“This initiative is part of our broader strategy to make Lagos a hub for educational excellence and to enhance the prosperity and competitiveness of our economy,” Hon. Sule added.

The Badagry and Yaba programs follow the successful Eko Digital Training held in Agege four weeks ago. The government has encouraged youth in these areas to seize this opportunity and enrol in the free courses.
