In a statement signed by Lieutenant Colonel Olaniyi Osoba, Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, 8 Division Nigerian Army, and dated Dec. 12, 2025 states that the event, held at the Giginya Cantonment in Sokoto, was led by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 8 Division, Major General Ibikunle Ademola Ajose, and drew participants from security and paramilitary agencies as well as friends of the cantonment community.
In a goodwill message, Ajose extended Christmas greetings to attendees and commended troops for their dedication to securing the division’s area of responsibility.
