Radiant diGiLog says software helps companies improve delivery oversight, staff coordination and operational efficiency

Nigerian technology company Radiant diGiLog has launched a workforce management platform aimed at helping logistics companies improve operational visibility, streamline field operations and reduce delivery delays, its chief executive said.

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Tayo Babatunde said the platform, launched in June, was now available in Nigeria, the United Kingdom and Canada, offering businesses a 30-day free trial.

Babatunde said logistics firms often struggled to monitor employees working outside the office, with dispatch teams, drivers and supervisors relying on phone calls, WhatsApp messages and manual attendance records to coordinate operations.

She said such systems made it difficult for managers to track staff attendance, monitor deliveries, identify available personnel for reassignment and respond quickly to operational disruptions.

“Operational excellence depends not only on hardworking teams but also on managers having timely visibility into employees, vehicles and business processes,” Babatunde said in a statement.

According to her, one logistics company evaluating the platform sought to improve oversight of its field workforce as its operations expanded.

The pilot programme allowed participating companies to test an integrated system covering attendance management, shift scheduling, task allocation, workforce communication, operational reporting and live vehicle tracking without disrupting existing operations.

Babatunde said the platform provides managers with a single dashboard to monitor field personnel, vehicle movements and operational performance, replacing fragmented communication channels with a centralised system.

She said participating supervisors reported faster access to operational information and improved decision-making after consolidating workforce data into one platform.

The platform, developed in Nigeria, is designed to replace paper-based records, spreadsheets and multiple messaging groups commonly used by small and medium-sized enterprises, she said.

It also records assigned, completed and outstanding tasks, enabling businesses to monitor employee performance and improve productivity over time, Babatunde added.
