The Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kaduna Command, Commandant of Corps, (CC) Lucy Fakoya, has commissioned the first batch of 12 vehicles intended for distribution to qualified officers. The move aims to facilitate the officers’ transportation to work.
During the commissioning ceremony, Commandant Fakoya revealed that the command had requested a total of 50 cars, with the remaining vehicles expected to be commissioned and distributed upon their arrival.
“We are committed to ensuring that our officers have the necessary resources to perform their duties effectively. The provision of these cars is just one step towards that goal,” Fakoya stated.

Commandant Fakoya also encouraged all officers to join the Multipurpose Cooperative to enjoy the full range of benefits it offers. She emphasized the importance of hard work and dedication within the cooperative, highlighting that these qualities enable the cooperative to provide such essential resources to its members, even in challenging times.
“It takes a cooperative that is hardworking and dedicated to be able to provide cars to its officers in these difficult times. I advise all members to remain focused, dedicated, and to plan effectively, rather than taking on loans that may not benefit them,” she added.
Chairman of the NSCDC Multipurpose Cooperative Society, Kaduna Command, Deputy Superintendent of Corps (DSC) Sunday Haruna, echoed the Commandant’s sentiments, urging the beneficiaries to make the most of the vehicles. “The plight of officers in dire need of mobility has prompted us to take this action. We hope the cars will be used judiciously,” he said.

In a related development, the NSCDC Multipurpose Cooperative presented undisclosed cheques to two beneficiaries. She advised the beneficiaries to use the funds wisely.
One of the representatives, Mrs. Sadatu Abdulaziz, expressed her gratitude, saying, “I thank the state commandant, CC Lucy Fakoya, the Chairman of the Multipurpose Cooperative, and his Executive members for considering us worthy of these cheques. We promise to use the money judiciously and for the purpose it was intended.”
