World cup qualifiers: Finidi warns Genort Rohr ahead of next game

1 Mins read

After a disappointing draw in Uyo, the Super Eagles are gearing up to face Benin in a crucial qualifier on Monday.

Finidi George, the Super Eagles coach, has sent a warning to Gernot Rohr, his counterpart and former Nigeria coach.

Rohr, now in charge of the Cheetahs, will host Nigeria in Cotonou, but Finidi is confident that his team will come out on top.

“He should be the one to be fearful of the Super Eagles, We want to win the game, we will take risks to win”

“We’re going for the win, and we’ll take risks to get it.”

Finidi is drawing inspiration from the team’s second-half performance against South Africa in Abidjan, which he believes can be replicated in Benin.

A win on Monday will take Nigeria to six points and potentially propel them to the top of the log, depending on other results.
