Injury blow for Super Falcons ahead of South Africa clash

Super Falcons have officially Opened camp today for their all important clash with the Banana Bayanna of South Africa in Abuja.

Not less than seven players are expected to hit camp today,but there is an injury concern for the Falcons, as experienced defender Ashleigh Plumptre who plays for Saudi Arabia side Al Ittihad has pulled out of the tie due to injury.

Ashleigh was one of the pivotal players for the team at the 2023 FIFA women’s world cup.

She has been replaced by home girl Jumoke Alani who plays for Nigeria Women Premier League side Edo Queens 

Bay FC forward Assisat Oshoala won’t be in camp until Thursday.
