Lagos State House Committee on Health Conducts Comprehensive Inspection of Randle and Femi Gbajabiamila General Hospitals

As part of the committee’s oversight responsibilities, focused on assessing the quality of healthcare services provided by these institutions, the Lagos State House Committee on Health, led by its Chairman, Musibau Aina, has carried out a detailed inspection of the Randle General Hospital in Surulere and the Femi Gbajabiamila General Hospital in Iyun.

Mr. Musibau Aina emphasized the importance of the visitation, stating, “Our goal is to ensure that healthcare services across Lagos are consistently excellent. We are impressed with the commitment shown by the staff at both Randle and Femi Gbajabiamila General Hospitals in serving the people, particularly the Surulere community.”

The team was welcomed by Dr. Abosede Adabale, Deputy Medical Director and Head of the Haematology Department, who stood in for the Medical Director, Dr. Olumide Sojinrin. Dr. Adabale expressed her gratitude for the visit and highlighted some of the challenges faced by the hospitals in their quest to deliver top-notch healthcare.

After a thorough tour of the facilities, the committee engaged in discussions aimed at identifying obstacles and proposing solutions to enhance healthcare delivery in the state.  Mr. Jubril Abdulkareem, Mr. Ogunleye Gbolahan, Mr. Omotayo Ahmed, and other members of the Assembly were also present, contributing to the discourse on improving the state’s healthcare services.
