In a recent campaign stop at the palace of the Yangede of Epe in Ondo East Local Government, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, who is seeking re-election under the All Progressives Congress (APC), assured the people of his continued commitment to delivering the “dividends of democracy” across Ondo State. He emphasized the importance of community development and transparency in governance, pledging not to tamper with local government funds.
Governor Aiyedatiwa’s approach has won him praise from traditional rulers and local leaders who acknowledged the positive impact of his policies on the grassroots. In response to their support, he noted, “Traditional rulers now get what they are entitled to, and the errors of the past have been corrected to promote the overall development of local government areas.”
One key focus for Aiyedatiwa’s administration is agriculture, which he views as essential for enhancing food security. “We are focusing more attention on enhancing agriculture,” he explained, “to ensure food security in the State.” This commitment aligns with his broader promise to address pressing needs within the community, including road infrastructure, as he vowed to repair the township road spanning five kilometers.

His sentiments were echoed by Chief Felix Kolawole, chairman of the Oloja association, who praised the Governor’s achievements, stating, “The Olojas are solidly behind the Governor and are confident he will continue to perform excellently in office.”
Chief Mrs. Nike Awosupin, representing market women in the area, further emphasized the community’s needs, urging the Governor to address deteriorating roads that hamper farmers’ access to markets. “Fixing these roads is crucial for our farmers to transport goods,” she stated, highlighting the women’s support for Aiyedatiwa’s re-election.
The Governor’s campaign tour is set to continue, with the next stop scheduled for Tuesday, as he seeks to engage communities across Ondo State in his vision for progress and prosperity.
