Sweet Revenge as Super Eagles edge bitter rivals Ghana

Playing their first game after the 2023 African cup of nations finalist Super Eagles had a sweet Revenge over bitter rivals Black Stars of Ghana in an international friendly game played in Marrakech, Morocco on Friday. 

Cyriel Dessers scored from the spot just before halftime, while substitute Ademola Lookman doubled the lead for Nigeria through a superb and well placed finish.

Although Ghana would have wanted the bragging rights, but Nigeria didn’t give them the opportunity.

Interim Super Eagles Manager Finidi George said “I’m excited it was a good game”

The result means the Black Stars are now winless in their last six games.
