A technical committee assembled by the Federal Government of Nigeria convened in Abuja on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, to address the pressing issue of illegal mining in the country. The meeting, hosted at the Police Force Headquarters, was convened at the direction of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to reform the mining sector and tackle illicit activities within it.
