Rohr was Victorious in Superiority contest over Super Eagles of Nigeria.

Former Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr was victorious over his former employers as he led Benin to a stunning 2-1 victory over Nigeria in a World Cup qualifying match in Ivory Coast.

Rohr, who was sacked by Nigeria after five years in charge, masterminded a historic win for Benin, their first-ever over Nigeria.

Raphael Onyedika put Nigeria ahead in the 27th minute, but Dossou equalized for the hosts just ten minutes later. Mounie then scored what proved to be the winning goal just before halftime.

The Benin players erupted in celebration at the final whistle, marking a significant milestone for the team.

The result leaves Nigeria in fifth place, while Benin leapfrog to the top of the table with seven points.
