At approximately 9am today, authorities of Lagos State received a distress call from bystanders and locals at Onipanu bus stop concerning a heavily pregnant woman who unexpectedly went into labor while waiting for a bus.
Swiftly responding to the situation, the Emergency Response Team along with paramedics from the agency and market women at the bus stop collaborated to provide immediate assistance.
They created a temporary makeshift delivery space to ensure the safe delivery of the baby and the well-being of the mother.
Amidst jubilation, the woman successfully gave birth to a healthy baby boy.
Following the delivery, agency officials stabilized both the mother and newborn infant before promptly transporting them to the nearest hospital for further medical attention and care.
