Lagos Health District III has successfully concluded a Basic Life Support (BLS) training for its healthcare professionals, aimed at improving emergency response and healthcare outcomes. The training, which involved doctors, nurses, and Community Health Extension Workers (CHEWs), is part of the district’s efforts to enhance emergency healthcare across Lagos State.

Speaking on the initiative, the district’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Monsurat Adeleke, emphasized the importance of prompt intervention during emergencies, noting that cardiac arrests and other medical crises often occur unexpectedly. “Through this BLS training, healthcare workers are better prepared to manage such crises, ensuring swift and professional responses that could save lives,” she said.
